What Jillian's been up to....

Here's Jillian's latest feats:

• Eating her yourgut with a spoon instead of her fingers
• "Coloring" pictures with real crayons
• Learning to say/identify 3 colors (red, blue, green)
• Instead of calling every one 'baby' saying momma for women and girl for little girls
• Dancing- ballerina style-lotsa spins
• 'Helping' fold clothes (mostly waiting till I fold them all than jumpin on the pile yelling Ahhhh)
• Dusting- she expecially focuses her efforts on things she usually isn't allowed to touch like glass candleholders which makes me think she is somehow tricking us?!
• Taking off all her clothes and diaper and running around really fast
• Eating foods her dad likes/I hate, such as pork, horseradish, onions etc so now its two against one over here. Why can't we just eat cheese sandwiches everyday i ask?!!

Spring Cleanin'

Today Jillian and I organized all her clothes- not a small feat for a miniature fashionista. Momma had been a little lax in the 'putting baby clothes away' task (hard to believe i know!!) so we started from scratch. Her newborn clothes looked like they would fit her baby doll!!! Cannot believe how small they are!!! So, Miss Jillian has 5 large totes stuffed to the top with clothes. I wanted a boy next- to have one of each- but now with all these clothes I feel like it would be so much easier with another girl!!! Or hopefully one of jillians aunty's gives her a cousin (before she is babysittin age) and they can have it:-) So after all that work we needed to take a hot tub. Of course not too hot since she's still just a babe!

Lately Jillian has been smackin my bottom- pretty sure she got it from her daddy. Sorry for the view above but ryan got her in action. Yesterday she was even smackin' Aunty Erin's booty!! Least it gives Boo a break from the torture! Bottom smackin doesn't really affect me too much

Well, Jillian was not in the mood to get her picture taken today. I tried all the tricks I had and so for her 18 month picture it will have to be just one we have taken. I got to the mall early with her this morning, we walked around, she was laughing, happy. As soon as we go to penney's her mood changes. I mean, I can see why, it's got to be wierd for a kid to go in this wierd little room with a sheet hanging up and some stranger tickling your feet and saying smile! So, she sat on my lap scowling at "evil picture taker boy" for 20 mins. Finally stood up- yeh- money shot-nope- a full on scowl. Well, I'm not spending a $100 on a scowl picture. So, we left and went to target to do some weekly shopping. Oh well, I'm gonna put her outfit on this weekend and try and get her to smile!! and I'll print them out for everyone.

My Wish

I heard this song on the radio the other day and the lyrics really affected me. I felt like it was words straight from my heart, from me to Jillian. But the more i think about it, its what I hope for everyone in my life I love- namely you all - my family and friends. So here they are:

7 years and counting....

Still lookin' for our pot of gold! Happy anniversary to us- can't believe it's been 7 years!!! Or that is was 80 degrees that day?!?

Back on the Charts

Jillian had her 18 month doctor check up today. The doctor said she was perfect, we agree. No shots so that was good- just a horrible blood test for lead- yuck- toddlers and needles don't mix. So, she is doctor free till october 3rd- our baby is so big!!! Here are her new stats:

weight- 28.1 lbs
height- 33.5 inches

So, she is in the 90th percentile for height, weight and head size- no longer "off the charts" as she has been since birth. She gained 3 lbs in 3 months- no wonder all the sudden 2t clothes seem tight!!!!

Jillian let the docs check her ears, said ahhhh, and even danced for the doctor today. A lot has changed from the shy little girl that would almost cry when Dr. George looked at her!!!

Next friday is 18 month pictures so those will all be coming your way in the next couple weeks!!

Baby's Back!!!

whoo hooo my tv is back in action. I'm a happy gal!!!!!!!!!! No pics of jillian again- last nite in bed at 6pm tonite 7pm- granma dawn is tiring her out!!! Maybe she will stay up and do something cute tommorrow!

Grampy Pat is coming home tommorow!!! So that is great news!!!

TV, I miss you

Day 4 without TV and we are reaaallly bored. We use to have 3 TV's- got rid of one when we moved, and the other one at xmas time cause we hadn't turned it on since Jillian was born. Well, on thurs the tv repair guy comes to fix some lamp part and destroys the TV- it won't even turn on. So, we have no TV until monday earliest. Thursday didnt seem so bad, we worked on the basement when Jillian went to bed so we were busy. Friday was a different story. With everything going on - TV would have been a wonderful distraction. Instead me and my sister hung out and talked and talked and talked for 10 hrs!!! I have to say it was really nice to just talk w/o sitting there zoning on TV, but friday seemed the like longest day ever. Saturday we worked all day cleaning and putting all the furniture downstairs. So by saturday nite all we wanted to do was relax and watch tv. Time just seems to drag with out it. I feel like a TV addict- I miss it so much!!!! Hopefully tommorrow the part comes and I can watch dancing with stars- cause if the TV is still not up for Idol on tuesday I might make ryans dreams come true and go to best buy and buy another one!!!!!

On another note, it took Jillian less then 24 hrs to learn how to throw a proper fit. We have all wood floors upstairs, so she would yell and scream, but being the genious she is, knew better than to throw herself down- cause it would hurt. Well, we got the carpet downstairs thurs and by friday she had added throwing herself down on the carpet and rolling (all while looking at us to see if we are watching) to her usual yelling and screaming. Today she was quite the drama queen - but also drooling and chewing everything in sight- so pretty sure more molars are on their way! So, we are just gonna say no to her upstairs from on and let her run wild downstairs- ha, ha just joking.

We visited Grampa Pat today and he is healing really good. A little crabby and disorientated but they are pumping him full of drugs. Hopefully, the antibotics do their job and he will be home tues or wed. What a scary 2 weeks......... only good things can happen from now on I've decided- listen fate!!!

So, I will get back on track this week with more pictures of the beauty queen. She is so grown up looking- today she had a cute mickey mouse t-shirt (thanks granma dawn) on and just looked like a little girl!!! Where did our baby go?!?

Prayer for My Grampa

Dear God,

Please protect my Grampa tommorrow and keep him safe. I love him very much and we have lots of things to do like read books, feed the duckie and go swimmin'. Heal him fast and make him strong. Make sure his guardian angel is watching over him. Love you Grampy. Get Better Soon!!!

Jillian has a sugar high all easter- she loves chocolate. Good thing she also loves to brush her teeth!!! She also had a nice visit with her grampy and grammy at the hospital. She's the best medicine for sure. Hope everyone had a wonderful easter.

Jillian made a special egg for her Ba-Ba (Grampa Pat). She said she hopes he is home from the hospital real soon and gets well very fast so he can play with her. She said "Love You Grampy!!"

She is feeling much better (mama too) and has resumed interrogating Boo for unknown crimes.

Lately when her picture comes up on the digital frame she's been yelling "You!" We keep saying no that's Jillian-but than realized we always say look, "you" when we see her picture- so when she sees herself she must be thinking- oh- there's You. So, she's just renamed herself -You! Ha, ha!

Influenza Schmenza

Apparently turning 30 last year wiped out my immune system. This is the 3rd time this winter I have been sick- not sniffles sick- like losing track of time because you are delirious from pain sick. This time it started sat- another sore throat in the morning followed by the next 3 days of a fever that varied between 102-104-- so between that, the body aches, head ache, stuffy head-I kind of just gave up and slept. Ryan made me go to the doctor yesterday- apparently I was becoming more delusional than normal and after 2hrs of waiting, chest xrays and a very uncomfortable "nose thing" to test for flu the doctor confirmed I had influenza. So, I'm like great give me some big pills- nope she said here's a mask and an inhaler! grrreatt! but least she gave me an excuse from work till Monday- apparently I'm contagious- ya think? Today I finally feel somewhat human like- I actually used body parts other than my clicker fingers today.

Poor Jillian started with the fever last nite- it was 103 but broke in the middle of the nite followed by her throwing up everywhere! But since its the first time she ever threw up we really can't complain! today she is sleeping more than usual but still doesn't seem to be as bad as I had it thank god.

So, thats all thats new over here- hopefully jillian will be up for dying eggs friday! I will definitely post some pics of that!

Jillian had a fun lunch at stonefire today with her friend Caden and all the other little ones there. She sat on my lap for about 5 mins when we got there -than for the next two hours ran around having so much fun. Only stopped for some oreo pudding!!!

The "After" Picture

Lately, Jillian has been like my shadow- seriously stuck to me like glue- especially when I do household chores. I've even knocked her over a couple times making dinner cause she comes out of nowhere and stands right behind me. Or, she stands next to me chanting "up, up, up". I thought being 18 months she was too young for chores - but i forget she is baby genius!!! So, tonight making dinner I start handing her things like the napkins, plastic cups, ect and tell her to go set the table. She goes right in the dining room and puts them on the table!! Next I gave her the plates (breakable ones) and serving spoons- same thing. It was so cute! I go in and check at the end and she has me and ryans plates on one end and her plate and utensils waaayyyy at the other end?!? Apparently eating with mommy and daddy is annoying to her or something?! So, here's a picture of the "after" result of her chores. Today setting the table, tomorrow cleaning toilets!!! ha, ha just kidding- don't want any "grandparents have rights" comments :-)

Just a little bit...

Well at casa de loco we are a little under the weather. Not on the couch with a box of kleenex's sick, but just enough slow us down. I got a sore throat thursday and feel as though someone threw me against the wall a couple times. Ya, a little achy. Baby J is definately fighting off the germ monsters- she went to bed last nite at 5pm and slept to 7am!! Than woke up ate a light breakfast (2 barbie waffles, yourgut and apple- girl can eat!)and read and relaxed for the next few hours. Definately not our energizer bunny.

Today was a first for Jillian- walking around a store-out of the cart! We've held off as long as we can but today at lowes she insisted. She is fast! It's just so nice when she sits in the cart and we can be in and out of stores fast- my shopping motto. So, I'm ordering the carpet and hear a blood curdling scream- hoping its cause daddy picked her up- nope she slammed her head on the concrete floor. So, she's got a egg sized lump on her forehead. But, she's doing ok- i made her favorite dinner- pancakes and sausage- so it seemed to help :-) Well, since it's 9pm already-thanks daylite savings- im off to bed- another exciting, wild sat night! Can't imagine what next sat will bring!!!!

Lately, Miss Jillian has become quite the daredevil. Her current obssession is standing on the couch or chair and falling backwards!! Fun!! Yup, she will definately be going on a lot of rollercoasters with Aunty Erin and Aunty Shannon in her future. Sure won't be with height challenged mommy and daddy!!

Someone's got a case of the Monday's

It's official...

I'm old. Sat nite- 8 pm- yes a 17 month old beauty queen should be asleep- her 30 year old mother should not!!! This is the result of painting the basement. Two years ago we painted our whole house in one weekend- i was not unable to stand up correctly or asleep at a toddlers bedtime!!! Yes, the basement is a large space and it was just me and ryan painting but what the heck?! My back hurts, my shoulders are sore, i have blisters on my hands, i was completely exhausted- good grief!!!! So, the bad news is this weekend I realized that the 30's are the gateway to old age, the good news is we got the entire basement painted. Ryans packer green bar wall is the highlight. (im sure he will have hundreds of pictures posted on photobucket soon :-)) At least all the work left down there is not ours to do!!!! Well, goodnite- off to join Jillian in sleepy land!
