we had a great, busy halloween weekend! saturday was night trick or treating at aunty and uncle Jimmy's house and sunday was our neighborhood. Jillian had the most fun, she is really getting, and enjoying all the holidays now. Olivia just ate alot of candy!! She loves to eat that little dragon!
Tonite me and the girls made some Halloween cupcakes for all our Halloween parties this weekend. Well, actually i think they did more eating than working! The unicorn princess and the dragon need their fuel!!!

Today I had off work and got to chaperone Jillian's class trip to apple holler! It was a bit chilly, but the kids didnt seem to care so that was good! We had so much fun, me and my big school girl!

This afternoon we went to swan farms, and it was alot better than last year, when it was like 48 degrees and raining!!! It was perfect fall weather, crisp and sunny! Jillian gets to go to the pumpkin farm twice this year, her class is going the end of october, my first time as a chaperone! I can't believe its the middle of october already!! I must really be getting old, time is in fast forward!!!
Saturday was the annual Al's run, i've done it pretty much every year since James was sick, except when i was preggers with J. It is definitely the place to be if you feel like you have problems and your life is tough. Cause seeing all those people wearing shirts with pictures of cute little babies and kids, and than a date of death underneath, will surely give you perspective. WOW, how any of those parents handle a sick baby, or worse, i really just can't imagine. Saw in paper today $1million was raised, woo hoo! and best of all James had another healthy year!

We went up to minocqua last weekend to have some fall fun and see all the beautiful colors. The girls had a blast, my little up north cuties!!

Today my girl turned 4! I just can't get over it! I can literally relive the day she was born like it was yesterday, i cannot believe 4 yrs have passed. Today we had a great day, we went to betty brinn and discovery world. They were ghost towns, the kids had the places to themselves, and they loved it. What a beautiful day on the lake with my favorite people!! 
This afternoon jillian and I made cupcakes for school tommorrow. Her first school birthday treat!!! OF COURSE, they are blue!!! i'm sure the Ms. Lynn, her teacher, will love the kids having blue tongues!!

Jillians 4th birthday party was suppose to be yesterday, well that day was not suitable for a pool party! so luckily all our friends and famiy could make it the next day, today, which turned out to be 80, sunny and hot! perfect pool weather! probably, yikes, the last of summer i think! Jillian had so much fun, she told me, "mommy, that was the best birthday party ever. thanks!" what more can you ask for!

so saturday morning i walk into the office and see my 18 month daredevil falling backwards off the office chair, so i run to grab her, and feel my back spasm. so not only was i laying on the ground in pain, holding a bloody mouth babe, but i was seriously p**sed off. not to worry, the babe was running around in circle minutes later, my old self lay flat all day. My back has had these spasms usually once a year since i was like 18. last year i finally went to a chiropractor, and he said, two things that will help are stretching and losing weight. so as i'm lying there i'm saying a little "blank" you to the chiropractor, cause i'm doing pilates (hello stretching nonstop) all the time and have lost 35 lbs. Well, today i kinda take it back, usually im the hunchback of notre dame, for like 3 days minimum. this morning after a loooong hot bath i was an upright human again (as J said), and did not want to waste another last day of summer sitting in the house. so we went swimming, i laid on raft while my man servant took care of my needs (lunch and the children people! this is a family blog!). so my back still is tweaked, gonna go get it realigned tomorrow, but much better than last july when it happened last time. I would like to thank my father for such great genes, or perhaps its karma, since i use to roll my eyes and sigh when he laid on the floor after his back tweaked. probably a little of both!
Olivia has become my little helper in the kitchen. so far her favorite dish to make is pasta, she loves to stir the noodles.

We went up north with our friends and their 2 kids this past week. 4 kids 3 and under, aye kuramba! we had alot of fun between the meltdowns, jillian caught 3 fish, olivia is all "ride or die" now (atving), and both had daily spa mud treatments (free of charge). It really felt like fall up there, trees were starting to change and temps in upper 40s at night!
