Laziness suits me just fine

WOW! I cannot believe how much better I feel today after sitting around all day at work. I guess even though I think I do nothing usually, going out and driving and stopping wore out my body. My friends are always making fun of me about sitting- cause i'm always looking for a somewhere to sit. Can't wait to tell them tomorrow night I now have a doctors excuse so i have to sit!! HA! Hope everyone has a happy new year!! We are going out to dinner, while Jillian has a PJ party at gramma's. 2009!!!! You know your old when 2000 seemed just yesterday....

Off the streets at last

You didn't know thats what I did for a living, huh?! ha ha just joking. Today I had my 34 week checkup (actually 33 1/2 weeks but whatever). The doctor wants me off my feet- so she's given me work restrictions- no field work, only desk work. It sucks cause they will make me answer phones and stuff envelopes- so my days will drag, but hopefully it will ease my pain. Also, its a little treacherous out there with the ice and all for giant prego. So, can't wait to hand my boss that note tommorrow! heh heh. Otherwise i'm measuring a week ahead, but since i'm so wide, (thanks doc) i could be further, its hard to tell with the wide ones she said! She told me to not get my hopes up about delivering at 36 weeks agian, but said I "most likely" won't need another ultrasound after the one i get jan 16th. So, now i don't really care if i go end of january, since work will be easy from now on. She also said they'd do a c-section if i have a 10-11lber in there, otherwise just induce. So, that makes me happy cause i know what to expect. So, thats all thats new with me and baby olivia!

The day totes took over our basement

Seriously, we have one child who is 2, how can we already have 8 totes for just her???? I organized her toys and clothes this weekend, which it seems like i do every month, but anyways, I've got 2 totes full of "old" toys, and another one full of clothes. That is not even counting the totes i have full of headrests, bottle warmers, steamers, ect.. That makes 6 totes of clothes! For a 2 yr old! I could never understand why people were so eager to have rummage sales when they were done having kids, but its not a choice, its a necessity! Baby Olivia has enough clothes to change her outfit 3 times a day!! She got some cute outfits for christmas, poor thing wants some clothes of her own!!!

Otherwise, I am hoping so much tommorrow I get some sort of end date from the doctor. I know last time she said i wouldnt go past 38 weeks, due to the diabetes, i remember i had a c-section scheduled for like oct 4th, which of course by that time i had a 12 day old baby!! I just hope tommorrow she says after my ultrasound the 16th, they will schedule a c-section if the baby is 8-9lbs. I can make 2 more weeks of work (this next week doesnt count- i only work 2 days and city workers don't do much holiday weeks:-)) Otherwise, I think I will start maternity leave the 20th, we are off for mlk day. It just hurts to walk, and even sitting is not helping. She is just so low, it is constant pain. I was hoping to make it to feb 1st to be off till june 1st, but oh well if i go back may 20th. Least I'm not swollen, not that it would matter, i'm trying to stay off my feet anyways. Oh ya, and this carpal tunnel crap, really fun! I just drop stuff, my hands go completely numb. And I wanted 3 kids!!! ha!

Ryan is being very helpful, although i think he's just happy with his xmas gift from his girls, we got him a electronic dart board. He went grocery shopping for me today, even found the pine nuts I wanted- I guess I should keep it simple to be nice, right?! He's been making dinner, lunch and breakfast for us, it almost makes me want to stay pregnant, ya almost.

Christmas trouper

Even though she was fighting the sick bug, Jillian insisted upon wearing her princess dress from aunty E and her sparkly shoes! She is feeling alot better today, I swear she has super genes, she hasnt been sick since march, and when she does get sick shes better so fast! She really got into the present opening this year!!! She got a whole new wardrobe and enough toys for 5 2-year olds! Nothing like being the only grandkid!!! Hope everyone had a wonderful xmas with family!!!

Xmas, puke, back pain and other fun stuff!!

I should have know when I offered to have xmas eve at my house, 8 months pregnant, things would get "interesting". Last time I had no back pain, just swollen everything, so when I never swelled up, I thought, great! i feel good - I can have a party! Ya, this sciatic nerve thing, its like a million knives shooting up and down my lower back. I could handle that, but then of course Jillian gets sick yesterday. Yup, never puked in her life, except in the car, threw up exorcist style last nite at 3am! 102 degree fever! fun fun!! Today I only had to clean the house and make food at the turtle pace I move at now, why not throw in a sick kid! Today she seems to just have stuffy nose and some "productive" gas. Thank goodness my sister is helping me out making alot of stuff, otherwise I would have definately given up this morning. So, now I will try again to get J to eat something, hopefully settle her stomach. Merry Christmas!!!!

So Big

I came back upstairs after getting the laundry, and she had gotten her blanket and a pillow out and was laying on the couch watching her "shows". I said don't you want to come downstairs by mommy and daddy? She said, NO! Didn't even look at me!! Where did my baby go??

Snow Day!!!

Yahoo, I love when the city closes!!! Of course it's on a friday when I only work a couple hours, but ill take it!! Jillian was outside "helping" daddy plow gramma's driveway, he uses his atv so she loves that. Had to drag her kicking and screaming into the house- must be her swedish roots, lovin the cold weather :-) Then, we went and visited her buddy ethan, they spent 2 hrs running around together. Can't believe soon there will be 4 kids when we get together!!!! Tommorrow she is going to a bday party with aunty and jimmy so hopefully they run her ragged and she comes home asleep:-) We are going to dinner tommorrow night for gramma's 60th bday and Jillians great-great aunt, aunty's 95th bday!!! I can't imagine being alive in 2072!!! Now another snow storm sunday??? Crazy! my boss said the city hadn't closed in like 20 yrs, and last year we closed for the storm dec 11th, now this year too, hopefully its an annual thing:-) i'm just glad i am all ready for xmas, well after tommorrow when i wrap gifts while jillian is partying!!!

Today I had my growth ultrasound, considering I've gained 14 lbs I figured this baby would be a "normal size" one. Nope, I got a 5.1 lber in there, measuring 34 weeks head and body, 35 1/2 weeks legs!!!! Tech said, ohhh, she's gonna be a tall one! She already had a head of hair too!! She said its "highly doubtful" I will go full term, so i counted how many days early I was with Jillian, that gives me a due date of Jan 19th, so I'm aiming for that week! Ryan said afterwards, can you imagine if we had boys, you would be on bed rest from the giants. Oh ya, and that horrible pain I've been having, its cause the baby's head is seriously like 3 inches from where she will come out, so 5 lbs of presure on my pelvis all day is great fun!!! Can you believe how much alike her and Jillian look though??? Same nose and lips!! Otherwise, I'm super happy i checked my sugars 4 times a day since week 12, since this baby is exactly the same size as jillian was at 32 weeks, when I ate whatever i wanted!!!!!! arghhh!!

Little Genius

OK, so i know ALL parents think their kids are smart, but i have proof mine really is!!! I was reading parents magazine and it said a 3 year old should be putting 3 or more words together and catch a ball (among other things). Well, we were counting last nite and some of her sentences are like up to 8 words!! Genius!! She also can catch a ball, ok 75 % of the time, but pretty darn good! And most genius like is her memory, the kid remembers everything. I said we are going to get Boo food last weekend, and she hasnt gone the pet store in months with me. She said oh good, see 2 kitties and fishes! Ok, thats pretty good! I was reading the characteristics for her "sign", the virgo, and it said photographic memory- wierd!!! So, I'm not holding out much hope for the next kid, you know how it goes, the first born usually get the looks and the brains, at least in my family!! Ha, Ha, just joking Aunty E. Shouldn't be mean, glad your sinus surgery went good, hope you heal fast!

Other wise i can't believe 2 weeks from today is xmas eve, whoo hoo 2 2-day weeks!!! Today we were all making new years eve plans- crazy!! I feel like new years was a couple months ago! Looking forward to a meal without cutting up anyones food or wiping their face!! Probably be my last adult meal for awhile!!!

Happy Birthday tommorrow to Cindy and Jimmy!!! Hope you both have good days, although poor Jimmy is stuck taking care of my sister, so not sure how fun that will be :-)

Yesterday I had my doctor appt and got some good news. Since I've only gained 9 lbs, am measuring a little under 30 weeks and my sugar levels have been normal, I only have to test my sugars 2 times a day now instead of 4!!! Yipee, my poor fingers are so scarred!! I also asked about due dates, cause last time they said for sure i would have a c-section by 39 weeks. Well, doc said if my size ultrasounds are normal, I'll have to wait for nature to takes its course! NOOO! I want a end date!!! Oh well, guess I'll just start eating a bunch of carbs, just joking :-) Some reward, uncertainty for a neurotic momma! ugh!

Jillian is obsessed with Santa, its all she talks about. Although, she doesn't seem to care when I mention he's watching her when she's naughty though! Funny how they get the present part, not the be good part!!! She's being very good with the xmas tree, i do notice ornaments magically move alot, but as long as she's not breaking them fine with me. Her favorites are all the Kaine ornaments, all i can say is good thing we had kids, i was definitely becoming a weird dog person! He still has more ornaments than my first born!!!

Tomorrow Gramma Barb has some heart test/procedures, so we want to send out lots of good thoughts and quick recovery wishes to her. I know she will be ok, she's got 2 angels, one for each shoulder, looking out for her.

Christmas kind of weekend

This weekend was all about xmas for us! We decorated, got almost all the shopping done, baked cookies and even watched some christmas movies!! Jillian is really into the movies this year, so its fun to watch them, since I really haven't since I was a kid!! Today I even went to a xmas bridal shower, and got a poinsettia!! with glitter on it!!! Doesn't take much to make me happy!!!

Yesterday Jillian saw my stomach move- the really contorted looking way from a hand or foot, and she said, "ewww gross" and covered my belly up with my shirt! Funny, guess it is kind of weird to understand a baby is in there! Otherwise she is obsessed with all things baby related. She is constantly telling me she will give the baby a bottle and ya ya, and toys. I'm sure that excitement will wear off pretty fast when she realizes the baby will eat 10 times a day!! Every time I hang up the babies outfits she rips them down and puts them on her baby dolls. I remember Jillians nursery, how every thing was so perfect, in its place, not so this time, probably a sign of things to come, right?!?

Tomorrow I have my 30 week check up- i can't believe how fast this pregnancy went!!! If I have her at 36 weeks like Jillian, that is only 6 weeks away!!! ahhhh!!!

Givin' Thanks

Well, the last couple of years the holidays have definitely been a paradox of happy/sad, fun/remembrance, ect.. for us. Jillian is such a little ham, she was preforming yesterday from 1030am till 7pm- with no intermissions!!! I hope she will share the stage next year with her sis!! She is so full of joy and fun, but it's hard when our families keep getting smaller, I just had always pictured the opposite, lots of cousins running around. But, I am definitely happy for all we have been given, a healthy daughter and another one on the way, we have good jobs and roof over our heads. I hope everyone had a day filled with joy and surrounded by loved ones!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I had off this afternoon, so me and Jillian did some shopping and then we helped daddy hang the lights outside. This kid loves outside, after 2 hrs she had to be dragged inside. I think I'm gonna have to get used to the cold this winter, we will be hanging outside alot!!

-Oh Man! This is her response when I say bath times over cause mommas butt is asleep.
-That's Nasty! What she said when I served her dinner last nite- nice hey?! but she ate it!!!

I know oh man is from swiper (Dora's arch enemy- if u have a 2 yr old girl you know who tico, isa and swiper are), but the other new phrases, not really sure. Just enjoying being told how it is from a 2 yr old!! will I live through her teenage years??

Nesting I guess

So, I've had this little check list in my head and all my tasks were accomplished this weekend! Thanks to my hubby mostly, since everything i wanted to do I needed his help! I don't know why i'm trying to get things in such order, i know when the baby comes there will be so much i can't control, but i'll try!! So, the last thing i wanted to do was paint the kitchen, the bright yellow has been driving me and ryan crazy, i guess we aren't "sunny" people. So, we (well, he) painted it a nice, quiet color, its called pewter and i love it. Such an improvement!!!

I've also been worried about xmas decorating, ive always put up the tree and house stuff the day after thanksgiving. Well, this year being 7 months pregnant and living with an unstable 2 year old I was picturing a day of all my favorite xmas things in pieces while i laid on the floor pulling my hair out. Ya, hormones will make u crazy. So, today we had nothing going on, so ryan set up the tree upstairs and me and Jillian spent all day decorating it. It was so fun, usually i just slap them up there, to get done, this time Jillian wanted to know what everyone, i'm not kidding, was. She was pretty good, till we went to do the downstairs tree, than she lost it, but it was nap time. She is such a mix right now, of total beast and perfect helper, keeps ya on your toes for sure!

Whoo hooo 3 day work week!!! 4 day weekend!!! I love the holidays cause it means no work!!!

Jillian is really laying it on thick today- 1st when I woke her up this morning she said, "momma, I love you", then just now after her bath she hugged me and said "momma, I missed you." awww, kinda makes up for when she's throwing things or screaming, kinda :-) Guess I will tell santa shes been pretty good this year!

So, yesterday we sold our bed in the morning and got our new bed in the evening!! It's like night and day, I didnt realize how bad our mattress was!! My back feels so good!

Yesterday I also had my 28 week check up , I'm offically in my 3rd trimester!!! I've gained 8 lbs, which made doctor man very happy cause he knows im watching my sugars. I'm actually measuring right on so doc said if keeps up I won't have a 9 1/2 pounder!! whoo hoo. I'm still getting a size ultrasound at 32 and 36 weeks just to check if I've got a another gigantor in me. I know i'm doing good cause my wedding ring still fits, last time i was like 4 months and that sucker was cutting off my circulation. Otherwise this doctor i had was a little strange. He told me this whole story how he is trying to impregnate a gabon at the zoo. They are our closest relatives, genitically. Don't know how I feel about getting treated by a gabon ob, but guess its ok right?!

So, people are so rude!! We had this big party at work and this lady I hadnt seen in awhile goes to me, I saw you and was like wow, Heidi sure didnt lose her baby weight! Then, some body told me you are 7 months pregnant, ha, ha. Real funny, keep your dumb stories to yourself!!!

i heart craigslist

i posted our bed today on craigslist and got like 10 replies within an hour! I'm still getting emails, one lady wants to come tonight! crazy! Maybe I should have tried for some more money! oh well, just glad were getting something for it!

No, we haven't lost our minds...

Ok, maybe you are wondering why we have a xmas tree up already?!? Well, let me tell you. On friday we went to a couple stores, finally found a tree at menards. We needed a tree for the basement this year, cause obviously last year it was just concrete, not finished. So, we bring it home, put it together and 1/2 a strand of lights is out. Ryan tried everything, it was just defective. So, of course the menards we went to didnt have another one, so ryan called a couple, finally found one by stadium. Went yesterday, stood in line forever to return it, brings it home, same freakin' strand of lights out!!! So, I stopped him from stomping on it and crushing it to pieces. Also, side note, each time we take the tree down, Jillian throws a giant fit- like on the floor flaling around- guess she's not so much a grinch after all. So, today we go to walmart, find a tree, come home put it up, it lights up perfect, and yup- thats where its staying- the holidays come early at our house this year. Then, of course, I couldn't resist putting up couple other things- kinda fun to have a new space to decorate. So, thats our exciting weeked!!

Jillian is talking so good now, she's started saying not only what she wants, but doesnt too. Like, "No bath mommy, me go downstairs by tree"- hopefully that doesnt last to new years- what a stinky girl we would have ha, ha. She's also obsessed with her footed pj's- she almost did not want to go grocery shopping yesterday, i said no pj's, she said, no shopping mommy!! Last minute she changed her mind, but she always wants to go shopping so I don't know whats up with the pj obssession!

Other exciting news, probably just for us, but we are FINALLY getting a king size bed. I bought all the bedding, pillows ect for less than $100 at kohls super sale- so cheap! We are just watching the ads for a good sale on mattresses- its our xmas present to ourselves!! Our mattress is shot, i guess thats what you get nowadays, its only 8 yrs old- seems like they should last like 15 yrs, guess not. I cannot wait to jump into a comfy bed very soon!!!

Play Date

I'm a little slow posting this week- these pixs are from Jillians play date with her buddy Ethan last saturday while mommy went shopping. Looks like they had fun!

Somersaults, the grinch and other misc. stuff.....

Jillian started doing somersaults this last week. Not sure where she learned them from, I'm sure not practicing my tumbling, or is Daddy! Pretty sure the grandma's aren't either! Maybe Dora?!? It's so cute though, she does a perfect little somersault!

So, I'm a Christmas music freak, I love it, can't wait for it to start. I think leah is the only other person I know like me. I figured Jillian would like it, since its mostly so upbeat. Plus, its not like she knows its only November, for all she knows Christmas is tomorrow! So, everytime we are in the car together and I play it, she yells, "different music, momma!!" Seriously?!? Christmas Grinch!!

Jillians new catch phrase is "whats that?" I hear it probably 100 times a day, i'm guessing its the prelude to the Why? question. She wants to know what everything is, its just so amazing how their little minds grow so fast- little sponges.

I accomplished one thing this weekend, getting Jillian off the "sauce." I bought candy for trick or treat like a month ago, and of course Ryan tore into it, well his little shadow saw him eating it and wanted some. Ya, its just one whopper or something, but she does not need to be yelling candy all the time, it sounds like a little porker!! So, all the candies gone, and I thought what can I trick her with, aha! yogurt covered raisins!! She hasn't liked raisins, so I was a little worried, but man she gobbled those suckers right up! Now, when she asks for her candy, I give her those, and shes happy, so I'm happy- yippee no tantrum!!

Otherwise, I'm just so anxious to meet this baby in my belly!!! I want to see what she looks like so bad! For some reason I'm picturing a little blond hair blued eyed baby- maybe my genes will win out this time?! Hopefully after i go next week to the doctor I will start getting the measurement ultrasounds like last time and I can see her! Can't believe next week I start my 3rd trimester!!

Ok, baby in the belly is hanging out way to low. I feel like I could give one good push and out she'd come. I thought when Jillian lived in my ribs that was uncomfortable- no- shooting pain everytime u walk is way worse!!! Only 3 short months right?!?

Jillian has started giving me the "eyes". When I'm apparently annoying her- usually this is when I'm asking her to do something- she gives me this look- out of the corner of her eyes, then half rolls them! Ok, chica, you are two not 13!! My child has definite attitude. Hopefully, #2 is my laid back kid!

Baby-o-rama!!

The list of 2009 babies to be continues to grow! Congrats to Lisa, Jason and Caden- their expecting in early June. Also, to Stephanie and Tim, whose little baby will be here around early July!! So crazy!! Jillian's closest friend is either 14 months older or 9 months younger. This baby is going to have like 6 babies born within 6 months of her! Some like ethan's brother could be days!!! It will be alot of fun!

Today I got all the babies clothes washed, I felt like i robbed a baby store- so many clothes- ridiculous!! I know I have 3 months but I feel like the next 2 will go by so fast with the holidays. Now, all I have to do is wash the big stuff like carseat, ect.. so that can wait till Jan. Plus, having Jillian almost a month early last time is freaking me out. Cause Jan 14th sounds really close. I'm sure this baby will be like here on time or late just cause I will be prepared this time!

Potty Training Progress

So, I think we are getting close the potty training success! According to all the mom-experts in my life Jillian is "showing the signs." What's a mom-expert you ask, for me its anyone who has a kid older than mine. If your baby is younger than mine you may receive my unsolicited advice from me now and then, but if you have a kid older than mine, I will never offer any advice! You know much more than me! I remember thinking when Jillian was a year old, hey, this is pretty easy, this parenting stuff. Ya, fast forward a year, and everything changes at 2. I can only imagine how ill prepared I am for 3, 4, ect.. So, here are her exciting potty ready signs;

1. Hating a wet diaper- she yells, momma wet, runs in her room jumps on the bed and throws her legs in the air. Very nice not to have to do the diaper wrestle anymore! Many times she also will rip her diaper off in the hallway and leave it for Kaine to sniff, not so nice.
2. Pooping in private- Miss J goes off into another room now to do her "business". She firmly says "Go Away!" if you try to spy on her. Immediately after she says poopy momma, yeah momma loves poopy diapers!
3. This morning after we got home from running errands I heard her get her potty seat. So, I spied on her and she sat on in it, fully clothed, in the living room, grunting, then, came and got me to change her! So, I think she knows what its for that little seat.

Unfortunately, no actual potty on the potty or her little one but I feel like we are close! My dreams of only having one in diapers may actually come true!

Otherwise, all that is new with Jillian is she is a sample whore! Every sat at the grocery store she can't get enough! There is nothing she won't try- the ladies are always like oh its spicy or she won't like it and Jillian says me try, and then mmm-mmm. And reaches out for another. Ryan got the evil eye from the sausage lady last sat. She really likes sausage! Another trait she doesn't get from her I-don't -like -pretty -much-anything- but- cheese- fries-sweets- momma. One bright note for me is she likes tomato soup. I love grilled cheese and tomato soup, ryan does not. But, now I have a little lunch companion to enjoy it with! Ryan can eat whatever! ha!

Halloween Party

Last night we went to Aunty E's and Jimmy's house for a halloween party/trick or treating. They have night trick or treating in her neighborhood and it was alot of fun. Jillian was more interested in playing and looking at all the costumes- we made it like 2 blocks and she wanted to go back to auntys house. She finally passed out at 9pm- she had so much fun with jimmy's nieces Abby and Emma! Today was a low key day- she slept in till 8am!!! She refused to put on her costume today and did not want to go trick or treating. All she wanted to do was touch up her "cat nose" and wear her ears all day. She liked passing out the candy-for as long as that lasted- she napped from 3-6pm!! We don't get many 3 hr naps so that was nice! Can't believe this is her 3rd halloween!!! Or next year we will have 2 little goblins!!!!

This afternoon we carved all our pumpkins. I wanted Jillian to have fun so I let her paint a couple. Wow, she likes to paint- mostly finger painting I noticed! More paint was on her and the papers than the pumpkins but she had fun! I baked 8 trays of seeds- next year its one pumpkin per person!

24 week check up

So, all is good with baby girl- i'm measuring 24 weeks exactly, 145 heartbeat, gained 2 lbs. What is annoying to me is the lack of quality care that doctors seem to give now. I know leah felt like I did, her doctors were so laid back. Today i go and the nurse has the glucose drink sitting there for me, I say to her, don't need that been testing my sugar levels for 8 weeks now. She's like really? Like i'm lying! Don't I have a chart or anything???? No nurse/doc asked me how my sugars been at 16 or 20 week check up. Uh kinda important don't you think?? I just think it would take the nurse/doc like 2 mins to look over my chart before they walk in. Today my appt was like 15 seconds long. Sure glad I waited 30 mins for that. Then, the doctor tries to talk me into retaking the glucose test cause my sugars are all normal. UH, isn't that the point - to watch what I'm eating- not hope I pass, than live in pretend land??? Whatever, i'm just glad i have insurance and don't pay out of pocket for any of these "prenatal" visits that seem to be pointless, oh wait- i got a flu shot today so i guess that will be worth it if i don't get sick!!! Today i got the birthing plan to fill out. Ha, what a joke- last time i checked off- "give me baby after cleaned off", and "baby stay in room with me", funny how all your plans go out the window after 16 hrs of labor!!!

We went costume shopping with aunty erin sat. It was so funny, erin calls herself aunty- emphazing the u. So, of course jillian says it that way too. So jillian is walking around the store saying awnty, awnty- sounding like a little foreign girl. People kept smiling at her like she was from another country. So funny. Can't believe how much costumes are- i'm totally gonna get my sewing machine out from the back corner of the basement and sew them next year. I'm a little rusty, but it must be like riding a bike- rite?!

Next weekend is halloween-o-rama for jillian. Friday nite the zoo, sat nite trick or treating at aunty e's, and sunday trick or treating here!!! I'm sure daddy will help her eat all that candy!!!

Jillian's Room

Yeh!!! We are done with both the girls rooms!!! I still need a few knick knacks for the babies room- i stole some of jillians stuff for her. Not that she will know i suppose! Now, all I have left to do is wash baby clothes and all the stuff like the swing, car seat, bouncer, ect.. Trying to get as much done as I can while I still feel good, I keep waiting for the swelling to start. Maybe watching my sugar is really working and I won't, or at least not until month 9!!!

Everyday's it's somethin new!

Lately I feel like Jillian is changing every day. Things she hates one day are her favorite the next. Today during her bath she started dumping her cup with water in it over head. She did this about 30 more times, all the while screaming with glee. Now, this child has hated getting her hair washed since she was born. There have been times after i've rinsed her head, shes taken the cup, filled it up and tossed it at me. Ya, she really hates water on her head. Apparently, not anymore, or at least today. Her hair has probably never been so clean! ha!

I've also decided to get a potty for her. she keeps sitting on the garbage can when i'm in there, so i'm thinking she needs a potty her size. Maybe then she will feel comfortable enough to actually "go". I'm still aiming for potty training to be accomplished in the next 4 months before baby!!

i can't belive i'm 6 months this week. 23 weeks!! 17 to go (or 13 1/2 if its like last time)!!! I want it to be over, then i panic when I think about 2 kids around here. Especially reading LeAnne's blog- hopefully i will drop my weight (from this one and Jillian!) as fast as her- its seems like with 2 you dont get a chance to ever rest!!!

Summers back?

Ha, ha, i'm sure its summers last breathe this weekend, but we sure enjoyed it! I have to say, it was the first time in 6 yrs I've ever taken out the garden and its 80 degrees out! Weird! Jillian was very busy this weekend. Friday she went to visit her new friend Connor, she was real good with him, but way more interested his 2 cats!! She loves meow meow's. Then we went to the orchard and pumpkin patch. Got 10 pumpkins- should be fun carving all those! ugh! Saturday we just did yard work, Miss J was a muddy mess- she loves turning the hose on when mom isn't looking!! We went to the park this weekend and she went up the stairs to the slide all by herself, such a big girl!!! I worked on the babies room alot too, wierd putting back up the crib and stuff, feels like we just did that and its already 2 years ago!! Then, today Jillian had her aunty and jimmy over, she was putting on a show all afternoon! She loves an audience!

We also are accomplishing another big milestone over here! For the past week so far Miss J has been in her big girl bed!! When she was a baby, little by little she ended up sleeping with us. Well, 2 years flies by and all the sudden baby #2 is coming so it won't work. She can't be up every couple hours with a newborn. The main problem with getting her in her own bed has been us. We love her with us, I love her touching my face in the middle of the night, and waking up to her sweet smile! After all we've been through in the last 2 years, I think we are doing pretty good overall, and thats all you can ask for. So, I'm a little sad, but I know she needs her own space. And boy, does she love her new room. She closes the door all the time on me, says bye bye momma! Hey! Momma's not ready to shunned yet!!!

We also got some other good news this last week, Aunty Shannon and Kyle are having a baby!!! Baby is due in June, so baby #2 and him/her will be real close in age!! We are so excited and happy for you guys!!! Now, we just need Aunty E to start popping out cousins!! Ha, ha.

So, I think we have a tentative name. Olivia. What do you all think? I really, really like it, Ryan likes it. I would call her Livie. Oh, I love it!

Peek a boo

Amazing and trying all at the same time

Apparently I thought I knew what the "terrible two's" was, but I guess its alot like labor, in the beginning you can't imagine it can get any worse, yet it does. From about 19 months on, Miss J has been having meltdowns, screaming, ect. But this last month, holy cow! she is like two toddlers, an angel one minute, devil child the next. If you don't get or do what she wants the minute the words leave her mouth, its screaming, no screeching on the floor time. Then, by the time you get what she wants, something like cheese, she refuses it and gets even more upset. We are trying to ignore her, and keep talking normal, but it is so hard not to scream back. When someone is screaming at you, it really takes all your patience and energy and sucks it out. Plus, being prego i'm already "touchy". Other times, she is just amazing. She is talking so much now, almost full sentences, repeating everything we say, just like a little sponge. Tonight she was sitting on the potty (still no peeing, just sitting) talking about kitties and pumpkins, and I just could not believe this was my little baby girl. I think its fall too, it just brings me back to when she was born, the weather, the food i'm making, it all just reminds me of that time. I think this next year will definately be challenging, but also just amazing watching her grow and learn so much.

Otherwise its full steam ahead on the girls rooms! Ryan loves when I'm in "lets get everything done right now mode". Jillians room is almost done, a couple pictures need to be hung up when they come from my new friend ebay. Today, ryan primed the babies room. A little sad, seems like me and aunty E just stenciled it all, can't believe that was 2 1/2 yrs ago! Can't wait for the pink though, its gonna be so cute!!!

October is flying by, I was just thinking we better go get pumpkins, only a couple weekends left to halloween already. She still needs a costume, this weekend we'll have to take a trip to halloween express, she will love that store with all the cats and flashy things. That's all thats new over here, hope everyone is doing good! Hope the new mommies are getting a little sleep!

Growth spurt

Today Jillian had her 2 yr checkup. She is 36 inches and 36 lbs!!!! I know she was a big baby (9lbs 8oz, 22 1/2 inches), but even the doc said she is really tall! Wish I weighed my height, well maybe a little more than 67 lbs!!! Otherwise she is a healthy little girl, got one shot and a blood taken for the dreaded lead/anemia test. She was pretty upset. Least no doctor visits until 3 yrs old and no more shots till she's 5! Whoo hoo. Not like I'm not gonna be starting all over in february with the new baby!!!

Today we got all the stuff moved from Jillians old room to the new room. All I can say is I'm never moving again, i'm so tired and sore from moving 1 room no way I could do a whole house. All we have left to do is hang up the border, get her mattress and hang some pictures. It looks so cute, and so big girlish, even her toys aren't babish anymore:-( So fast, so many changes in just 2 years.

What a cutie!! Here are some of her 2 year pictures. Other exciting news- probably only if u r a hormonal crazy pregnant lady- we got jillians room all painted tonight!! Tommorrow I can put up the wallpaper, get her a twin mattress, and a dresser from my mom, some finishing touches, and yeh!! her room will be done! Next, baby girl #2 room!!!
