Bye Bye Peter!!

We sold my car today, Peter Pontiac has moved north!!! After 10 yrs of trusty service it was time for a "family car." ALL i ask for is power windows and 4 doors!!!! Yipee!!!

These two girls of mine are so different. Today i took Olivia for her pictures, shes 2 months and was like a baby model, smiling on cue- loved it. Every picture i wanted. Jillian hated pictures, the first time we took her she cried the whole time. We got two pictures, one in a santa outfit with red eyes the other asleep. Thats how it went till her 2 yr pictures, we'd get like 1 good one. I also tried olivia back in her swing this week, she been taking 3 hr naps in it! Today i had so much free time i was cleaning out the basement- i know- crazy!!

It is so much more work with 2, the day is like a blur, but the one nice thing is the glimpse of the future i am noticing. Olivia just stares at jillian, it must be like watching the circus- nonstop movement. So, in a few months, i really think they will play good and keep each other entertained for hours (hopefully!).

Tomorrow 80 out!! Whoo hooo!!!

Fast Forward

Big breakthrough around here- poop on the potty. Finally! Potty training really is gross though- i think its way messier cleaning the little potty than changing a diaper, but i suppose the long term goal is worth it rite?? Diapers in kindergarden probably are frowned upon!

Ms. Liz, jillians gymnastics teacher said she is listening so much better at class tues, i don't really see it, i think its naughty new girl making jillian look good! whatever works!

Olivia is going to be 10 weeks tommorrow!! i just cannot believe how fast its gone. The whole getting up every couple hrs phase is already over- not that its fun, but you just feel like it will last forever when you are in it! Tommorrow we are going for her 1st pictures- i was gonna bring jillian - but i think i will wait till 6 months ones. Jillian wants to hold her and be in every picture, so i think its a battle i won't win and don't want to deal with a screaming toddler at target!!

otherwise the weather looks like its gonna be great the next couple a days, i got my seeds in the mail monday, so i'm ready summer you can come anytime!!!

We had so much fun in ohio the last 4 days!! Jillian had the best time i think, 2 days of 75 degree weather so she could be outside nonstop with her "ohio people"!! She played on aunt cindy's swing set, went swimming at the hotel, went to the park, "helped" decorate aunty shannons shower and entertained alot of people- her favorite thing to do of course! Shannon's baby shower was so nice, the best cupcakes i have ever eaten (and ive eaten alot) and she got so many gifts, i think she and kyle are set for carson to come!!

Jillian did so good with potty training the whole weekend. This morning after breakfast at denny's she went potty then we headed home. like a hr later she said i have to go pee, in the middle of nowhere, so we said just go in diaper, its ok. So like an hr later she starts complaining of a tummy ache, we are all like oh no, shes gonna puke. well, she just fell asleep. So we get to barbs and she runs upstairs to her potty and goes like no tomorrow- i feel her diaper its dry!!! She had a tummy ache from holding it! Poor thing!!! No more driving straight through for us- lots potty breaks in our future!!

Olivia is another good traveler- thank goodness. She was awake alot the way there, just smiling and happy. The way home she slept the whole time, except to eat once. She mostly hung out in everyone's arms the whole time, exactly where she loves to be!!

Can't wait for our next trip this summer to meet Carson!!!

Olivia's doctor had us switch her back to regular similac monday, and ever since she's been sleeping through the nite! I think that soy went through her too fast!! She went 9 hrs last nite!! I kept thinking she was the fussy one and she sleeps through the nite weeks before jillian ever did!! My new favorite kid ha ha!! Too bad I had a 1/2 can of soy formula from sams left, oh well, helping the economy rite- formula, diapers, wipes, ect... :-)

Jillian's been saying some funny things lately, here are a few:

"I love all my people!" (at dinner at gramma barbs w/grandma and aunty)

"That star is driving me nuts! Turn it off mama!" (Olivia's tummy time mat has musical star)

"Just tryin to get comfy. Ahh there I go." (anytime she sits down to watch her "shows")

"That baby looks goofy" (olivia in her swing)

"I love money, I need it" (ryan gives her a dollar bill) "NOOO!! real money" ( i give her a quarter) squeals of delight.

For all the whining and sassiness that comes with a 2 yr old, the things that come out of their mouths!! I think that, and the cuteness, is what keeps you from selling them to the gypsies!!

Potty training has been going great for a week now, still no poop, but all day long she is diaperless. She will tell me she needs a diaper, than poop. I'm not gonna push it right now, don't want her to regress and not go potty at all. I don't know what is worse though, changing diapers or emptying that little potty!! ugh!!!

it just didnt make sense to me that olivia only grew 1 inch. shes in 6 month clothes for crying out loud. so we remeasured her today on jillians craft paper roll, ya she's just shy of 24 inches! makes a little more sense! Not so fast measuring next time nurse! oh ya, we had to do jillian too of course, she is 39 inches!!

We had a great easter yesterday and it was Olivia's 2 month birthday!! Today we had her 2 month check up and she is a little peanut considering she was 11 lbs, 22inches at birth!! She weighs 14 lbs, 3oz (97th %), 23 inches (70%). I looked at Jillians book and she was 14.1lbs, and 24 1/4 inches!! I hope she will have a big personality, cause if shes smaller than her sister size wise she will need that!!!

Today we went for an Easter egg hunt at the gymnastics place and then dyed eggs. She did so much better than last year!! I'm really gonna be sad tomorrow when the Easter bunny comes, the threat of him not coming has deterred alot of naughty behavior around here!!!

Someone's got a crush

Jillian had a playdate with Caden the other day- they had alot of fun. It was very cute - they were having a deep conversation about curious george!!

We had a sucessful potty training week-we are off the timer- she knows when she has to go and tells me!! I haven't ventured out with out a diaper yet but yeh!!! i feel like we are making huge progress. I kept feeling like it would never happen, now she is like a potty pro!!!

I figured, ya its cloth but whats the chance a 90 lb fur mutt is gonna sit on it- well, ryan got up this morning and found him like this-

Lately, Jillian has been calling daddy the King, me the queen and her and Olivia the "princesses". I guess Boo would be the jester. I don't know where she gets it from? Perhaps from her princess jammies, 2 princess crowns, or her princess outfit?? Lets just hope they stay princesses, cause there is only room for one queen around here!!!

Solsbury Hill and Night moves; two songs make me cry on a good day, played back to back on way over to baby shower today- truly was a waste of time to put eye makeup on. I'm sure everyone has songs like that, the kind that as soon as u hear them, bring u back to a place, the way it sounded, smelled, looked, like u never left.

Growing up my grandparents had a cottage, a place I have gone literally since i was a few weeks old. It is the one place I always felt truly at home at. Every time I hear those songs- im playing yardarts, sitting in the white lawn chair drinking a berry weiss, playing some drinking game at the picnic table, sitting on the deck watching a sunset, running down the hill to go swimming, painting a rock, sitting in an attic playing for hours, hoping summer never ends. Time seemed to stand still when i was there, even though years passed, and we all grew up, it seemed that we would always go there, that the cottage would always be ours.

I guess you know you are all grown up, when you finally realize the things you took the most for granted, that you thought would never change, always will.

Friday my sister and I are going down to our grandparents house, to meet our cousin's and to go threw things before it sells. I always knew they wouldn't live forever, but all the sudden I feel all grown up. A 2nd baby, a 32nd birthday, a 8 year anniversary and 2 deaths all in 2 months, no wonder I cry at old songs!!!

All olivia wants to do is sit up, she will be sreaming, and u sit her on your leg and its like a mute button!! I feel like she is gonna be sitting/walking way before jillian did, she is so much stronger and active. Today I went to a baby shower for my friend having identical boy twins!! It makes me tired just thinking about 2 babies!!

I heart the new girl in class

Yesterday at Jillians gymnastics class a new girl came. She was real wild, yelling louder than jillian and even having a tantrum. I say this with glee, because yipee!! my kid isn't the worst one anymore!!! So, thanks new girl, here's hoping you come back next tuesday!!!
